The Invisible College Trilogy: Book 2 ‘Dust and Shadows’ Published
‘Dust and Shadows, book 2 of my The Invisible College Trilogy was published 9th February 2016. The Kindle version is available here. The paperback will be available within a day or so.
Dust and Shadows is written in a different style from book 1, They Do Things Differently Here. The first book introduced the reader gradually to the realisation that all is not normal in the closed community of Templewood, which does not appear on the map. By the end of book 1 teenage sister and brother Emily and Peter have uncovered a prophecy, partially foretold in the two volumes of an arcane book of mysteries (the third volume is missing) and a conspiracy by a secretive group known as The Sect to create an apocalyptic event that could destroy the planet. Emily and Peter have also discovered that their move to the village is more than coincidence.
In book 2, Emily and Peter reveal more and more of the prophecy, foretold by the Ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Norsemen, until the terrifying scale of the Sect’s intentions becomes clear.
Here is the book description from the Title Page:
The Invisible College
Book II: Dust and Shadows
Moving to a new home and school in Templewood was an exciting prospect for Emily and Peter. The reality is proving anything but. Both movement and communications in and out of the closed community are controlled by the Sect, in this remote location unknown to the outside world.
Two rival factions within the Sect, the Pros and the Cons, seek the missing third volume of a book of arcane knowledge, which will provide clues to realising a prophecy affecting the future of the planet.
Both factions believe Peter holds the key to locating the book and unlocking its secrets.
Is there a connection with the prophecy and local farmers developing crops to withstand wide climatic variations.?
As Emily and Peter uncover more evidence of the prophecy from many mythologies, the enormous scale of the Sect’s intentions is revealed.
Will it be too late to disrupt their plan and save the planet?
